GTBank Launches Virtual Prepaid MasterCard For Safe Online Shopping

Guaranty Trust Bank Plc recently unveiled a Virtual Prepaid MasterCard as an alternative to its physical debit cards. This is a welcome initiative from GTBank which will help to curb fraud via online transactions.

The GTBank virtual prepaid mastercard which is issued instantly via Internet Banking after applying for it, provides an added comfort for security conscious online shoppers who prefer not to use their regular debit/credit cards when making online payments.

According to the GTBank, the virtual prepaid card has all the essential features of a physical card and can be used to make both international and local payments. It will also serves as a fall back option for customers who have forgotten or lost their physical card, but need to perform urgent online purchases.

During the launch, the Managing Director / Chief Executive Officer of GTBank, Mr. Segun Agbaje said: “This marks another milestone in our quest to make banking more seamless for our customers. ==> Just login to your GTBank Internet Banking Portal via and submit a request.
==> Do so by clicking on the cards section, then click on 'virtual card request' to order one.
==> The Bank will then contact you for further steps to follow.
