Apple has just discovered a defect in its newly launched iPhone 5 Map app
last week and the Company has send out their apologies to their customers with a promise to fix the error. The new iPhone 5which was unveiled last week in San Fransisco was spotted by users to have towns and cities in
wrong place and misspelled locations. The iPhone 5 Map app is defective.
The criticism was tense but Apple has
said sorry to its customers for the defects in its iPhone 5 Map apps and has
promise to do everything possible to correct the errors in its new Map app set
to be created soon. Below is a comparison of the map showing Google Map left with the Apple iPhone 5 Map right.

In a statement, Apple CEO Tim Cook said: "At Apple, we
strive to make world-class products that deliver the best experience possible
to our customers." "With the launch of our new maps last week, we fell short on
this commitment. We are extremely sorry for the frustration this has caused our
customers and we are doing everything we can to make Maps better."
Apple set to
create a new Map app for its iPhone 5 as customers has complained that it was
not patch on the Google map app it replaced. for example from lbc.co.uk said: "On one Map of Sweden,
Gothenburg, the country’s second largest city seems to have disappeared." It is no where to be found on the map.
Nevertheless,
with the software defects, Mr Cook said 100 Million iOS devices were still using the
latest Maps app and over a billion locations had already been searched by users
since its launch.
